Description
This is a very rare and absolutely genuine example of a 1987 518i BMW (E28), having had just one owner prior to us buying the car earlier this year. It has covered just 28,720 miles from new, of which we have driven around 200. The car is in unbelievably pristine condition, as can be seen by the photos. The official BMW colour is Bronze. It has a factory fitted tilt & slide manually operated sunroof, electric front windows, tilt open ashtrays in the rear passenger doors (never been used), is fully carpeted, has a 5 speed manual gearbox, a JVC stereo with removable head unit, 4 speakers (2 in the front footwells and 2 on the parcel-shelf) and the original BMW toolkit strapped to the boot lid (very special). The car is fitted with BBS alloy wheels (an upgrade option when new), which we bought recently, had completely refurbished, powder-coated and fitted with brand new Falcon tyres. The car is also supplied with its original wheels and hub-caps (which are in very good condition), together with tyres, so can be easily swapped as required. All the windows are etched with the number plate characters (as was common back in 1987). The history includes the original Stephen James sales invoice, when the car was bought new, dated July 2nd 1987 (the Stephen James rear window sticker is still in place) and the invoice for the fitting of the stereo & speakers dated June 2009. The car was last inspected and serviced by a BMW specialist in May this year, who said the car drove brilliantly, exactly as it should. Please call or email if you have any questions.
