I have owned this Rev 1 MR2 MK2 for around 4 years now and it is a great little easy driver as although it is a mid engine 2 seater it is the Automatic version. In my ownership I have had the following done: New brake callipers, discs and pads all round. Wheels refurbished. 2 Front shock absorbers. Front drop links. Last 12 months: Sump pan gasket/reseal. Rocker cover gasket replaced. Cambelt and water pump replaced. New exhaust and a Full Service. 11 Months MOT. The bodywork is good for a 33 years old motor. The respray that was done by a previous owner is starting to flake in places and drivers door paint has faded. There is slight damage to the rear quarter behind the drivers air vent. Rear tires replaced in 2023, fronts in 2013, but all have loads of tread. The radio and aerial do not work . The sills are ok. The rear arches will need attention at some point. Its a great starter into the MR2 world and there are a couple of clubs you can join, one being the MR2 Drivers Club. A few spares come with it. It is an ongoing project for someone, with so many options available.
