Description
For sale is this beautiful 2004 BMW 6 series 645ci with the fantastic 4.4 V8 lump
I bought this car as I was going away to a good friends wedding for the weekend and wanted something nice to drive and arrive in with the missus.
It's done the job so well, it drives amazingly and just oozes class in my opinion.
The car cruises on the motorway beautifully and when you require power it's there immediately, it's addictive, almost too addictive. It's smooth and quiet on long runs and very comfortable.
The V8 engine sounds incredible and the gearbox changes are smooth in normal mode and slightly more punchy in the sports mode. It goes like an absolute rocket, I've never driven anything like it. I've come from hot hatches so for me this is a completely new and different experience, but one I am enjoying and loving, I'd love to keep this car but honestly it's just not practical.
The car is now over 20 years old and so there is some very minor niggles - the electric windows are sometimes slow to go down or up, but they always do, albeit slightly slow. The rear parking sensors do not work at all and there is some age related marks inside and outside however in general this is a fantastic looking and very respectable car.
The car did have 4 new matching tyres before I bought it, but Sod's Law the day after I bought it I got a puncture so have replaced one of the rears with a budget tyre, therefore they're no longer all matching.
Economy wise I'm getting around 21mpg which I don't think is terrible for a car with a V8 engine and I'm fairly spirited when I drive, so I think that's a decent number.
Space wise I had 4 adults in the car on route to the wedding and it was a little tight but no real complaints there. Also, for a coupe the boot is huge and holds a lot of luggage.
It boasts a pretty decent spec including the pan roof which is lovely, cruise control and folding wing mirrors (they also fold when you lock the car). It also has the original old school mobile phone under the arm rest!
One other thing to note is the air conditioning will need regassing before next summer.
The car is HPI clear, has 144 days of MOT remaining (at the time of writing) and is ready to drive away. I would encourage any test drive / viewing - you will fall in love with this car when you drive it, just like I did.
It's done a sensible 108k (although this will rise due to still using it) and it's got some partial service history.
Any questions let me know! Thanks
