Description
After owning this car since 2015 it has come time for her to go to a new home.
Non sunroof model, the interior is in good order, better than most I'd say but does have the usual dash cracks, again not as bad as most as I have kept this garage in the entire time I've owned it.
Doesn't need anything major and could just be used straight away. Mileage reads 107939, but the odometer stopped working about 4 years ago and, again, as I wasn't using it I haven't got round to replacing the small cog that causes this fault.
She always starts, even after sitting for the winter,. Hot and cold start issues are none existent after I went through and replaced the warm up regulator, 5th injector and a few other parts with known good ones.
MOT & tax exempt and just 3 previous owners, which is rare for these cars. Lots of paper work from over the years including the original service book.
In the last 3 or 4 years it's just sat in the garage only being used a few times in summer on nice days, these cars need to be used and get better the more they are driven. I have 6 vehicles so this isn't being used enough.
In my ownership the head gasket was replaced, the head was rebuilt with new valves, cambelt etc (original new old stock sourced from Germany) and a brand new clutch was fitted 4 years ago.
I replaced the fuel tank as the old one was leaking, new tank was covered in protective coating before fitting.
Last year I fitted a new front brake caliper and all pads and discs.
New spark plugs & distributor cap.
Fuel filter
New alternator harness
New fuel pump
New fuel accumulator
Reconditioned Alternator
Injector seals
I have some spares to go with the car including a full lock set (current onces work fine but the drivers door is on a different key so I was planning to fit a matched set), a rare "Redline" larger throttle body and another larger throttle body from an Audi. There is also a replacement wing to go with the car to go on the passanger side as the one on the car isn't great.
When I was using the car frequently I took it everywhere including down to Silverstone to the 92forty show to celebrate 40 years of the Porsche 924.
Parts are pretty easy to get in my experience, even Porsche stock a lot of parts still and at sensible prices.
I'll be sad to see this car go but I don't have the time it deserves. All the hard work has been done.
I'm also selling a set of 4 stud spiderweb alloys and all the correct bolts for 250, to go with the car.
