I bought this car recently, but due to a back problem that has gotten worse since an accident, I am not getting on with the seats or getting in and out of the car; so I need to pass it on to someone else to enjoy enjoy. The car comes with a detailed leather-bound folder of history with every receipt from day one. The is also the original manual and service booklet, containing lots of stamps. Mileage is currently 157K miles, however in the history folder, there are receipts for an engine rebuild at 115K miles including the IMS and RMS upgraded The amount was just over 9,000. It means engine has basically done 40k with normal servicing after the rebuild. The previous owner had new brake disks and pads installed last year at a cost of over 1700. The wheels could do with a refurb at some point. MOT passed in May 2025. This 996.2 was manufactured in October 2001 so is one of the first 996.2 produced. The car itself is very original, and not messed around with, no silly suspension or exhaust systems. The last owner even paid 250 to put back in an original Becker stereo with Navi!, which is really cool. The car feels tight and responsive to drive, with very few creaks, rattles or knocks. It pulls very well, as you would expect, and makes a wonderful noise when you drop down a gear. Handling is smooth and confidence inspiring with excellent grip. Bear in mind this is the rear-wheel-drive version. The body shows little sign of its age, a few small stone chips on the front, no paintwork repairs and again, all original. There is on spot of rust on one arch this size of thumb. Interior is very clean in all black leather. All dials and switches work and the air con is ice cold. No warning lights at all. It has the original spare wheel and is complete with Porsche tool kit and jack etc which was again added recently by the last owner, along with new top quality headlamp bulbs, new over mats and battery. The previous owner used to commute for a contracting job and sold it to me after. If you are really interested please do get in touch and inspect the car yourself.
