Description

1995 Toyota RAV4 3 Door SUV Petrol Automatic - originally imported from Japan and first registered in the UK in 2006. It has 68,546 miles on the clock, and runs well. Has almost a full year's MOT. Interior - is in good condition, some stains on the carpets and scratches on the inside (see photos) from wear and tear but in general it is excellent for its age. All electrics, heating, wing-mirrors, radio etc work perfectly. This was a well made car and has stood the test of time. It comes with its original manual as well - but it is all in Japanese. Back seats fold fully down. The plastic on the passenger front seat seat belt button is broken, but the seatbelt still works. Exterior - Overall it is in good condition - there are a couple of scratches in the paint on the side, and it has two identical dents at the front left and right (see photos), and one at the back (see photo - has tape on the side). Tyres in good condition Mechanically - it drives well, has never let me down, and has recently passed it's MOT with only minor issues (please check out its MOT history here: Check the MOT history of a vehicle - GOV.UK IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: 1) It has an issue with a coolant leak and it's water pump not functioning properly - it leaves coolant/water patches when parked. This needs addressing and although it hasn't caused me issues as I maintain the coolant levels frequently, it is something that will need rectifying. I have never driven it more than 40-50 miles in one go due to where I live and work but would advise that this is fixed beforehand if you intend to do so. 2) It does not have airbags due to it's age. 3) On occasion, when it is has been very wet, the steering can slip slightly - this needs looking into. Previous history - I obtained the vehicle from the father of a friend who passed away, and so I don't have much of the original paper work or service history. Prior to the previous gentleman owning it, it was owned by a car enthusiast who kept it in good order and I think is partially responsible for how well this car has kept going. Since owning it we have changed the alternator but not much else. Reason for selling - I am in need of something more suitable for longer journeys. Ideally, I would like this vehicle to go to someone who can give it some TLC, and maintain it for many more years. Please feel free to contact me for any further questions, or to
