Stunning example of the rare wide-bodied Porsche 911 (996) Carrera 4S Cabriolet. The 996 generation was the first to use a water-cooled flat six engine. The 3.6 litre engine produces 315 bhp and 273Lb-ft of torque via the six-speed Tiptronic transmission (with quick shifting controls on steering wheel). First registered in December 2003 this car has been very carefully and respectfully maintained by the current owner over the last 12 years (purchased July 2013). Only 7,000 miles have been added to the vehicle with the odometer displaying 49,629 from new. Finished in Guard Red with full black leather interior (red stitching), stainless steel door entry guards, an aluminium gear shifter, handbrake grip trim and wind deflector. The interior is in impressive condition with only minor creases in the leather seats and some light scruff on the door cards all of which is in line with a car of this age. The vehicle has been garaged since purchase and also comes either a colour-coded hard-top roof for use in winter. All expected maintenance has been undertaken by a Porsche specialist with a major service in 2018 where spark plugs and drive belts and all filters were changed. The IMS bearing, a common issue, was changed in 2019 assuring the future reliability of the engine. The original Porsche exhaust has been upgraded with a rear Dansk stainless steel system. In addition, various replacement parts have been fitted to ensure that the car remains in excellent condition; new radiators, AC condensers, ignition coils, lower suspensions arms, front fork arms and brake hoses. The bodywork is in excellent condition and commensurate with the age of the car. A few very small marks on the body and a very small patch of slight lifting in the lacquer on the bonnet. As the car has been garaged and under a Porsche branded soft breathable indoor cover, there is no residue build-up on the paintwork and it remains smooth and highly polished. All light lenses are clear and the black convertible hood is in great condition and operates perfectly. The car sits on 18 inch Turbo Twist alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres (all excellent tread depth). The wheels are great with very limited scruffing/marks. In addition the original entertainment unit (with 6 cd changer) has been replaced by a PCCM in 2021 providing recent technology capabilities (Bluetooth, CarPlay etc).
