Vauxhall Corsa VXR - A fantastic example that has been well looked after Fo sale is my Vauxhall Corsa VXR, a turbocharged hot hatchback that's a blast to drive.This car is a very good example, featuring all the desirable factory packs and numerous upgrades to ensure it runs and handles better than ever. The turbocharged 1.6L engine delivers a punchy 205bhp, launching the car from 0-60mph in a swift 6.5 seconds. Specification & Upgrades This Corsa VXR is a top-spec model, equipped with all three factory packs: Winter Pack: Enjoy comfort year-round with heated Recaro leather seats and a heated steering wheel, plus heated front and rear windscreens. Performance Pack: This is a track-ready upgrade that dramatically improves handling and braking. It includes Brembo four-piston front brakes, a Drexler limited-slip differential (LSD), retuned Koni FSD dampers, and unique 18-inch 5-Y-spoke alloy wheels. Carbon Pack: Adds a stylish touch with carbon fibre-effect door mirrors and a front grille bar. Comprehensive Mechanical Refresh & Maintenance During my ownership of this car I've meticulously maintained and performed several significant upgrades, all to a high standard. Engine & Drivetrain: The original engine was replaced with a low-mileage unit (32k miles at the time of fitting, now at 38k miles) after a bad ECU calibration (This cost 2000 alone). The replacement engine was fitted with a new cambelt, a new turbo and a new GFB dump valve as the factory dump valves can be unreliable. Before installation, I opened the sump and rocker cover to confirm the internal components were in excellent condition. The ECU has been returned to a standard, safe calibration. Suspension: To improve both comfort and handling, all dampers have been replaced with Koni Special Active shocks, along with new standard front springs and top mounts (800 spent). Brakes: The Brembo brake calipers have been professionally rebuilt with new pistons and seals on all four corners, ensuring superb and consistent stopping power. Chassis: The underside has been professionally cleaned and coated with Buzzweld Lano Coat to prevent rust, a crucial step for long-term preservation. Servicing: The oil has been changed every 3-4k miles with the correct specification oil, and the gearbox oil has been changed at the specified intervals. The chassis has covered 105k miles, while the engine is a low-mileage unit. Due to the age of the vehicle there are a few minor marks, and the wheels could do with a refurb.
