Description

Selling my beloved Defender 90 which I have owned for almost 2 years, changing for a Discovery for longer trips and need the space on the driveway! Great engine - always starts, burns no oil. New glow plugs fitted recently. Regularly serviced by AL Services Poole (see receipts in photos). Last year, had a new rear cross member fitted by Tricketts Welding Poole Vehicle Restorers, and at the same time we decided to completely strip the chassis back to bare metal, carry out any necessary welding (see photos) which included a new outrigger and various other areas of repair (all listed in receipt in photos). This is now a practically rebuilt chassis which was then re-waxed using Wurth underbody wax. At the same time, new rear calipers, pads and piping were fitted. At the last service (April this year), new front calipers, discs and pads plus piping and distribution valve were fitted. Master cylinder was also replaced, so a complete new braking system. Brand new rear tyres (Goodyear Wranglers) being fitted today and MOT re-test also being done so valid from today. (19.09.25). Front tyres (also Wranglers) have good tread. LED lights fitted all round. I switched the headlights back to (brand new) halogens to try to eliminate a fault (which turned out to be a connection issue after all), so I have the LED headlight units as well which will be included. All gauges, warning lamps and back lighting work. There is an aftermarket stereo fitted with touch screen Apple Carplay & Android Auto. Also centre console fitted with switches for rear work lights and internal LED. Rear wheel carrier was fitted by me after replacing all hinge pins on the rear door. Driver & passenger seats are fabric (Exmoor pattern I believe). Centre seat is vinyl. Currently covered with seat protectors. Immobiliser fitted with key fob to disarm. Separate key fob for central locking (front doors only). Rear door is manual lock. Bodywork is in pretty good condition for the age. Front doors were clearly changed at some point (before my ownership) and are in excellent condition but a very slightly different shade of blue! Overall though, very tidy. For me, the amount of mechanical work which has been carried out, particularly on the chassis and the complete braking system, is most important. 12 months MOT from today (19.09.25). All receipts for work carried out.
