1986 VW Golf 1.3cl.Type 19. Tax+mot exempt next may. The bodywork,door bottoms,sills and arches looks amazingly good with just a few rust spots but no visible rot + it looks solid underneath as it has been wax undersealed in its past. The interior looks ok but I did a seat repair and it could do with some more tlc. When i bought it about 6 months ago as a summer project I could see it had many new parts including specialist shockers+springs. I added a new exhaust,4 new tyres and put in a Bluetooth stereo/cd and radio, a weber rebuild,fuel filter,pump+ pressure regulator and belt& braces new plugs/leads,distributor with new electronics+ wiring. I have no history but... The engine looks like it's had a past rebuild and a recent alternator,water pump and cambelt are visible.I tested the compression with all at about 160psi.There is a small oil leak on the sump but no other oil or water leaks. It drives well and the clutch feels good. I am selling to make room for another project. Thank you. It is in Wetherby,2 minutes from the motorway services.
