Description

The Morgan +4/4seater is the purest expression of Morgan's traditional sports car philosophy. Kept within production for over 90 years with only short breaks in its run, this ash-framed, potent little sports car made the Malvern firm a byword for top-down Best-of-British motoring, and the car has only gotten more free-spirited and anarchic against the wider industry's homogenisation. This particular 1990 example has been in the hands of three custodians, during which time it has been well maintained and treated to tasteful upgrades. The car maintains a balance between originality and practicality. Finished in Ferrari Corsa Rosso paint with black leather interior, polished walnut dash, alloy body, steel wings, stainless exhaust & stainless full width bumpers, everflex hood and tonneau. All in excellent condition. Extras include immobiliser, locking fuel cap, reclining/folding seats, head rests, easy up hood frame swivel pivots, zipped rear window, spot lights, badge bar, luggage rack, storm and internal covers, USB sockets, 12v power socket, original white cloth cover (at sale) with Morgan motif etc. I'm reluctantly selling my Morgan plus 4. It's like selling an old friend and there's a genuine reason for selling (I've now got two). She started life in October 1990 when she was sold by McDonalds of Maiden Law, Durham to her first Cumbrian owner who cherished her for 12 years. I'm her third custodian. Absolutely reliable, with a smooth, powerful and economical two litre Rover twin cam 16 valve fuel injected engine (pre cat) coupled to a slick 5 speed gearbox. It was developed in conjunction with Honda and was used in many different vehicles and is considered by many as bullet proof, oil pressure, temperature and battery condition is as it was when new. A joy to drive. She's done around 1,000 miles per year from new. She has just passes yet another MOT 16/07/2025 with no advisories. She's a four seater which has given us huge luggage space (not usually associated with Morgans)and capacity for the occasional cases of wine or champagne. I have her original build sheets, all her MOT documents & complete service history together with manuals and an unused spare set of keys. Most recently she has been upgraded with new, stainless steel manifold, hardened king pins and bushes, steering damper and a massive suspension SSL upgrade. She is ideal as an everyday/touring car and does not have the harsh ride sometimes associated with early Morgans.
