Description

Mercedes 320 sl in Silver. Yr 2000 facelift car with the newer M112 V6 engine. NOTE does not come with private plate currently on. Full service history, lots of paperwork. Excellent condition underside, garage stored. Helped my Dad buy the car in 2013 - best one we could find and high specification model. Lived in his garage and not gone very far. Summer use only. I took ownership last year when my Dad could no longer drive. Recent sparkplugs, gearbox service, brake and power steering fluid replacement, lanoguard/waxoil. In August, I stripped the front wings lights, radiator fans etc, repaininting the shroud together with some preventitive maintnence to brakets, catches etc. Inside front wings all waxoiled. Also replaced anti roll bar bushes, oil /filter change with MB spec oil. This was in prep for a Scotish road trip where the car ran faultlessly. A beautiful way to "waft" on a sunny day and brilliant for taking to car shows - where it is always popular! I recently had the alloys refurbished gloss black and 4 new Dunlop sport max tyres. I love the black wheels, but appreciate may not appeal to all. easy changed back to silver if preferred. They are the original 17inch alloys. Soft top recently treated and works as it should. Car also comes with a Panormaic glass roof hardtop together with a stand. With this hardtop on, it is whisper quiet inside. Car looks fantastic and in great condtition - but it is 25 years old so has the odd mark (small scrape on back left side bmper probably the most noteable) Last MOT had no advisories as I had replaced bushes, bulbs etc. Occsionally a slight oil leak is advised on MOTs. I had this looked at by two MB specialsits when serviced. They both think it is rear engine seal - was described as a light "sweat" rather than a leak, most likely due to the cars limited use/mileage resulting in a dry seal. It has never driped in the garage/drive. While the seal can be replaced, both advised it was not necessary (and prob no different to most other sl's). Drove the car a bit more this year and was not mentioned on latest MOT. Genuine, car, genuine seller and have tried to be clear in the description. Bit sad to let her go (especially for my Dad!) but is not really for me, so thought id see if there was any interest. I ve seen plenty and think it is probably one of the better ones still out there. MUST GO TO SOMEONE WHO WILL LOOK AFTER IT! No time wasters, sob storys or general wierdness please!
