Description

1994 Mk1 Chimaera, Celestial Blue, 65000 miles, Serviced and MOT'd in September. I've owned this car for close to 15 years having purchased it from a TVR enthusiast who spared no expense in keeping it in fantastic condition. Like the previous owner, I too have ensured that nothing was too much time or effort in keeping this in tip-top condition. Always a 'hobby'car I've covered less than 5k miles during my ownership; used only in summer and never in the wet! During my time it has been maintained by Phil Wood of PR Wood, Southend who is considered one of the top TVR men in the country. It comes with a full service history - 18 stamps divided by just 3 TVR specialist outfits (TVR Barnet, Leven Technology and PR Wood). In addition to the full service history which is contained in the original black leather book (see pictures) I have a folder absolutely stuffed with receipts, invoices, old MOTs, bills of sales from previous owners etc that covers the entire period of the car's existence which will give the buyer complete confidence in the car's provenance. I've had the car SORN'd for a few years - always garaged and under cover. I'm looking to move house next year and unfortunately the car won't be coming with me. With that in mind I've brought her out of SORN and have restored her to her condition before she went into hibernation! Here are a few things that have been done over the last couple of months or so, most as a precautionary, some as a result of not using her: Fuel pump, fuel filter, Track rod ends, Steering rack boots, sump gasket, fuel pipe, stepper motor, 4 wheel alignment, 12k mile service, MOT - all completed by PR Wood Southend. I've also had the speedo/odometer battery replaced and a new set of leads made up and fitted by Python Racing Colchester - another TVR specialist. In addition to the Chimaera itself I will also be including the original wheels all of which have serviceable TOYO tyres on, a fault code reader, a trickle charger, battery isolator, a bespoke indoor cover, the roof cover used when storing the hard top and the Steve Heath manual pertaining to the Chimaera and Griffith.
