The impending need for bank of Dad funds means I am reluctantly selling my superb 2018 LCI facelift M240i Convertible in the best combination of metallic black sapphire with black Dakota leather and the more classy gloss black interior trim option as opposed to the standard aluminium.
I treated myself to it as a second car a year and 10k very enjoyable miles ago and it was easily the best available within my budget, in excellent, clearly cherished condition both inside and out, full service history and maintenance record and crucially having what I consider are the essential options for a performance convertible being:
Comfort Package (heated seats and steering wheel plus the very effective wind deflector) which combine to keep you warm as toast when you want the roof down on those cool, but sunny days
Cruise Control to help regulate your speed between cameras (you need it with this B58 powerplant)
Front and rear parking sensors to negotiate those tight parking spots
Then during my ownership, I've spent almost 2300 pounds on the following upgrades to the cars' looks and performance making it a worthy contender to an M2 as a test drive will demonstrate:
Celtic Tuning professional stage one ECU remap increasing power by 22% to 433bhp and torque (in gear acceleration) by 17% to 438lb/ft all within manufacturers tolerances and with absolutely no engine modifications and no detriment to average fuel consumption. (a no brainer but easily reversible if required)
Gloss black front grills and rear diffuser
Carbon door mirror caps
Exhaust modification professionally fitted by Cobra Sports with larger stand out tailpipes
New set of more individual looking 18in wheels from Alloy Upgrades. (have retained the original orbit grey 436Ms in excellent condition for refitting if preferred)
Light and subtle window tints
So the car is more powerful than an M2 but it's delivered in a less raw and more civilised manner and the Cobra exhaust provides a great sound track under acceleration when you're doing your Lewis Hamilton impression.
Everything works as it should, next service is not due until 2026, discs and pads are all good (see idrive) and front tyres are brand new with rears only recently replaced to deal with the two Mot advisories. So no immediate expense is required of the new owner. Car is spotless, (no dents, scrapes, rips, stains or odours) and two working keys are present along with original book pack. Private plate not included, will revert to YF18 FEX.
