Description
'Abarth' represents an obsessive passion for beautiful machines with the singular goal of making cars go faster.... there is a rich heritage harking all the way back to the Abarth / Ferrari collaboration in the early 1950's - significantly the '53 Mille Miglia with the Abarth Ferrari 2000.
A design directly inspired by the 1966 Fiat 124 Spider today's Abarth is faithful to its roots (the roof is rather simpler though - a manual operation that takes just 3 seconds start to finish!)
Rear wheel drive, 50 : 50 weight distribution and a proven chassis (borrowed from the venerable Mazda MX-5).
A 1060kg kerb weight, suspension developed in collaboration with Abarth Racing.
Lightweight 1.4 MultiAir engine producing 170bhp (6.2kg/bhp) and 250nM of torque at 2500rpm
Performance figures - 6.8seconds 0 - 62mph and 40 plus MPG
All of this combines to create a fantastic 'pure' driving experience wrapped up in classic Italian styling
Out of production since 2019 and just 600 of the approximate 1600 total UK units being optioned with the automatic (paddle shift) transmissions. Divide these 600 units into the 5 colour ways available - Portogallo Grey, San Marino Black, Turini White, Costa Brava Red and Isola d'Elba Blue and you can reduce this number down to approximately 100 units in Portogallo Grey. Seperate the Heritage and Non-Heritage Package cars and then narrow it down a step further to fully optioned cars only and you are left with just a small handful of units on the UK road - there is a reason you rarely see them! These 124 Abarths are amongst the most exclusive small sports cars on the market particularly when specified like this one. They are incredible fun to own and drive. Low mileage total spec cars such as this are scarce
