2014 Volkswagen California SE TDI BMT 140 102k miles. Reluctant sale of much loved California in immaculate condition throughout with full service history, part VW and part owner, (retired engineer). The cambelt and water pump were changed in 2024 so now not due until 176k miles and recent big 100k service completed with oil change and all filters, new brake discs and pads all round, all shock absorbers, springs, top mounts, front suspension bushes, drop links, brake fluid change, antifreeze change and power steering fluid change. It has been on a 10k oil change regime in my ownership as I am not a believer that even modern oil stays in condition with a 20k change interval having had a T2,T3, T4 Cali, T5 transporter and T6 transporter over the years plus numerous Golfs and Seat Alhambra's etc. It had a new main battery in 2024 and two new leisure batteries last week. Just went straight through the mot without any advisories. This is the 140hp engine which has none of the Egr problems the Bi Tdi suffered with disastrous consequences. Same owner for the last 7 years, one previous owner and VW demonstrator prior to that in Milton Keynes HQ. Drives beautifully with smooth slick gearchange (6 speed box) and even fully laden will do around 35mpg on a tour. Has had very practical fitted tailored German seat covers on from the first owner and the seats are perfect underneath. Comes with additional tailored folding mattress/topper for improved comfort, double din head unit with wireless Android carplay, reverse cam, detachable towbar with electrics, improved headlights, gas bottle, summer alloy wheels/tyres,(its just gone onto its winter tyres),Original radio and Kenwood Sat nav unit. All the camping accessories are working perfectly including the electric pop roof, fridge and night heater which has remote control. This is a very reluctant sale due to a change in priorities to be able to transport all our grandchildren around,(Caravelle), and if the asking price is met we will include all our camping gear- pots pans, cutlery, bamboo plates, glasses, levelling ramps, electric hook up cables etc etc, everything you will need. I hope the next owner has just as much fun and as many adventures as we have had over the years- its been a super reliable fantastic vehicle. Any inspection welcome
