Description
A stunning, low-mileage, faultless Base Cayman covered by Porsche Warranty until March 2026.
It's a Launch Edition car, assembled at Porsche Zuffenhausen on the same production line as the 911, and the excellent quality of build is apparent.
Fully serviced by my local OPC (Official Porsche Centre), the tyres and battery have been renewed even though not strictly needed.
As an active member of a Porsche Club you are assured that this car has been cherished, and it has not been tracked.
It is a delight to drive, and considerably more engaging as a Manual than the PDK alternative (I've owned both).
There are no knocks, dents, or obvious paint marks, it feels taught and tight, everything is fully functional including Apple CarPlay, and it has never been smoked in.
The bright Racing Yellow screams "Sports Car" - even when stationary - and the yellow interior trimming (panels, instrument cluster, and seatbelts) makes most other Caymans look just a bit dull. The unmarked 20" Carrera S wheels work well in black.
The 4-cylinder turbo engine pushes strongly from just under 2000 revs, through to the redline at 7,500 - not that I've ever taken it up to anywhere close to this.
It's a much more responsive engine than the normally aspirated 6-cylinder, and considerably more frugal even driving enthusiastically. (Yes, been there too!)
This car is also comfortable, having the excellent 18-way adjustable seats, so touring for two is a pleasant option.
There's good space in the 'frunk' and 'trunk', both areas protected by Porsche liners.
Even the driver and passenger carpets are protected by Porsche mats against wet or muddy feet.
The air-conditioned heating and cooling is twin-zone, with seat heating and key-following (and button) memory for the drivers seat, as well as the entry and exit function (the steering wheel and seats move to ease access), USBs in the armrest and glovebox, lighting, and a 12V socket in the passenger footwell for accessories or (in winter) a battery maintainer.
This car is completely 'stock' with nothing modified or changed (other than the Porsche protective liners), the new Porsche battery, and new tyres.
The Porsche Warranty has been continuous since 31/3/2022 and will automatically apply to a private buyer until the 30/3/2026.
This is a lovely car that will be missed, but the reality is that I just don't drive now as much as I did, and my wife and I have ambitions for some world travel which this sale would fund.
