After 2.5 years of ownership, the time has come to let my beloved R8 go. I have cherished this car during my ownership, always garaged on on trickle charge, numerous wear and tear items and common issues resolved to help keep it in excellent mechanical condition. The car had a full Audi health check in Nov2025 for full peace of mind for the future owner.
The car has been under Audi Extended Warranty during my ownership and has had a number of common issues resolved under the warranty. This is crucial peace of mind knowing that the car has had everything it needs, and at an Audi main dealer workshop, as well as future peace of mind for the future owner knowing that Audi warranty is an option.

Recent work includes:
- Clutch replaced at 37k miles
- Gearbox and front diff serviced at 42K miles
- Gear cables (between the gear shifter and the gearbox) changed at 44k miles at Audi
- Driver's side front and rear mag rides replaced at Audi at 45K miles
- Gear selector (the mechanism that sits on top of the gearbox and selects the gears) was replaced at Audi at 45K miles
- Air con compressor replaced at Audi this year (worked fine but was noisy) at 45K miles
- Battery replaced this year with Varta OE spec battery at 45K miles
- Brake lines replaced after an MOT picked up slight corrosion at 39K miles
- Oil pump seals replaced by REP due to the common leaking issue at 41K miles
The above work totals over 30k and means that the car is well sorted for many years to come, compared to other examples that may not have such extensive maintenance.
