Description

Hyundai Coupe in Black. 1975cc. Petrol. COLLECTION ONLY. Couple of minor dents from previous owners. Paint is somewhat faded. Wheels have most definitely necked on with the curb. Driver's seat is worn. This car has been excellent the last couple of years it has been in the family. It has had the exhaust welded due to failure with age (you'll see this on the MOT history) as well as a new radiator. I have just put 2 brand new tyres on the front end that are above middle spec. In October, the car took myself and the Mrs. up to Cumbria and back (near 800mi round trip) with absolutely no issues. Car has rather a lot of bells and whistles considering its age. Main ones are: - Heated leather seats - Cruise Control - BT Radio + CD Player - Sun Roof Since the car has been in the family, we've only ever put Momentum 99 go juice in it. The car handles perfectly, stops and starts without any concerns. Blowers for defogging the car are ok. Wipers are ok but you might want them replaced soon. Rear tyres are in good condition. Interior is in an ok condition considering its had 161000 miles of butt on it. The small sun roof is fully functional! The master piston for the clutch pedal was replaced over 2 years ago and the clutch is well worn but not near the point of needing replacement any time soon. The car has been very forgiving and well behaved. The MOT doesn't expire until Dec 2025. Car is currently not on the road - SORN. Problems with the car: - Fuel cap breather valve not working - ABS light on - Boot lid holder-upper not great Fuel cap breather valve: the valve on the inside of the cap is old and doesn't return the fuel tank to atmospheric pressure. This means that the fuel consumption draws a vaccum in the tank and the fuel pump to the engine won't be able to deliver fuel. A temp fix consisted of unscrewing the cap a couple turns. You can pick up a spare cap for under 15 quid from any part retailers. ABS light on: Haven't had the chance to go to a mechanic yet. Boot lid holder-upper not great: The arms holding the boot lid up are well worn so don't stick your head under it without holding it up yourself. It'll hurt. Ask me how I know. Overall, the car has been great. My previous one managed 180k miles before I sold that. Please note, the only reason I am selling the car is because I am a seafarer and don't want to leave it sat for 8 months of the year. If you want to bring a mechanic, I will knock his fee off the price when you own it.
