Description

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE CALLING AND ASKING QUESTIONS THAT ARE ALREADY ANSWERED IN THE ADVERT. It is a hugely original car from what we can see, and is worth making the effort to make it a real good one. This was acquired with intention for private collection, but time constrints are making us reconsider and is why it is being offered for sale. If it sells before the MOT expires, thats fine, if not, we will put into storage and it can be a winter project. It is a very good driving example, no suspension ratlles, nice through the gears, no temp issues, warning lights or Airbag lights either. PRO'S The Mini Copper S was acquired for a number of reasons, 1. It is a NI car from new, and registered Jan 04, so, it is a relatively early COOPER S example 2. Only 2 owners from new, both in same family 3. Seems to be a well cared for example, and original, down to supplying dealer number plates, tax disc holder, dealer key ring, both keys, handbooks etc 4. Was a well spec'd car, as came with full leather, sunroof etc, (i havent checked the full list of optional extras 5. Paintwork all seems largely, if not all original and does not require any doing. CONS As with any Mini of this age, there are things that would need addressing, but nothing that would be beyond a weekend project requirement from what i can see. 1. The drivers seat, namely the bolster could do with repair as the leather has cracked and showing signs of wear. either a repair kit or replacement seat could be obatined for this. 2. The car was owned by a smoker, whilst its not too bad, there is evidence of a nicotine smell, but nothing that detailed clean couldnt resolve 3. Some headcloth sagging, on a couple places, may or may not irritate someone. 4. Central locking issues. Locks fine with the key in lock, and close on the key buttons, but only be opened by the lock. When pressing the key, you can hear the clicking in the lock, which would suggest a door lock possibly. Again, not a bit fix. 5. Exhaust blowout, (slight) and someone has replaced the rear box with an aftermarket. just looks terrible
