Selling my Golf 1.6 FSI Match - been my first car and it's honestly been a joy to drive. Super reliable and looked after from day one. I'm the 3rd owner - first owner had it around 10 years, second around 3 years, and I've had it for just over 4 years. Spent a lot on maintenance and upgrades to keep it running smooth and looking fresh. It's been done up as a GTI rep - has the GTI front bumper and grille, looks proper sporty. Got some nice touches too - Apple CarPlay, reverse camera, and a back box + resonator delete so it's got a nice deep sound, definitely turns heads. Car's been well looked after, regularly serviced (new EGR and Alternator i have receipts for both of these and visually you can see they're new and not second hand parts, and always cleaned and cared for. Perfect daily or first car as it's cheap on insurance as in insurance eyes it's on paper as a FSI Match. Only issue is that the gearbox needs repair it still drives and goes into every gear (test drives welcome) when engaged in second gear the gear stick moves slightly up when hits the biting point with the clutch. Have been quoted 300 labour and to get a second hand gearbox which costs around 200-300. For someone who knows what they're doing or know a mechanic it will be a cheap fix. I've owned it over 4.5 years and it wasn't worth me fixing and now have purchased a new car. Apart from that no other issues with the car. The gearbox used to have a slight leak of oil which might of caused this but shows on MOT history for front oil leak. Once replaced their will be no other oil leak. Have all service history (FSH) and repairs in my ownership.
