Description
We took this vehicle in part exchange. The previous owner mentioned it may need the wet belt replaced. The car still starts and drives very well, but the coolant tank has burst. When the air conditioning is switched on, the engine can become a bit jittery after a short while.
My mechanic quoted £800 to fix the wet belt issue, or in the worst case, if it needs a head gasket repair, the cost would be around £1,050. Unfortunately, my mechanic is fully booked for the next two months, so I’ve decided to sell it as-is, just to recover what I paid.
This would suit someone with an in-house mechanic or a larger dealership that can handle the repairs.
