Description

Selling our lovely Saab 9-5 Hot Aero estate- what a car! If you know your Saabs and watched the various online videos, on Top Gear, YouTube car channels etc, you'll know the Hot Aero is every bit as quick as they say it is, with unbelievable midrange acceleration that literally pushes you back in your seat, great for safe, and effective overtaking, changing lanes, and avoiding those other road users you'd rather steer clear of. In our ownership since December 2023, and bought as my wife's daily and as a family car. Learner driver daughter, now has her own VW 'Up', and I have had a company car since 2022 for the commute. We now find ourselves in need of something a little smaller, and are reluctantly looking to move the big Saab on. Serviced regularly until 2017 the Hot Aero has covered 119,000 miles and is in great overall condition, as you can see. The previous, West London based lady owner, used a local mechanic friend to maintain the car, before we purchased it, and she didn't keep the bills. We have spent four thousand, during the last two years, on getting it properly sorted, at renowned Saab specialist, Two Stroke To Turbo, in September 2024, before they closed their doors after 40 years, and most recently, at Milton Keynes Saab Centre, where the 9-5 was serviced and MOT'd in October 2025. See pictured recent bills - Two Stroke had all four alloy wheels repaired, dipped and fully refurbished before adding a set of four new tyres, as well as fitting new rear lower suspension arms, auto transmission oil cooler pipes and rear exhaust box. The car is now a joy to drive and back to where it should be. Being the estate version, it is highly practical, with tonnes of internal space for storage; recent additions have been a genuine Saab 9-5 steel luggage/dog guard and new, old stock, Saab 9-5 boot liner. Bodywork is good, despite age related marks, and for a 2008 car it presents very nicely. Black leather interior and the famously, super comfortable Saab seats, make the cabin a very nice place to be, for short and long journeys. A/C and electrics work - seat adjustment controls, plus two front and rear heated seats. On to-do list is to replace weak bonnet support struts, as opened bonnet will slowly close on its own, and also sort small surface blister at bottom front of off side rear wheel arch. Parking sensors do not work. All in all, this Saab 9-5 Hot Aero Estate is a lot of car, and will put a very large grin on the next owner's happy face!
