Description
Audi A8, 2.8 Quattro Sport, 2002, FINAL EDITION.
This Audi A8 is the rare Final Edition model.
The D2 generation of the Audi A8 finished in 2002 and, as such, Audi created the Final Edition D2, a well equipped and highly specified model only available in 2002, before the D3 generation was introduced in 2003.
These cars were Quattro Sport versions and featured desirable specifications such as factory fitted genuine Audi forged 20" wheels (wheels alone are 1,000), wheel spacers and lowered suspension with stiffer springs and firmer dampners, giving it exceptional mechanical grip and handling based on the Audi S8 (from the infamous car chase in the film Ronin).
This Audi A8 is in excellent condition throughout with full service history, low mileage, professionally refurbished wheels and new tyres all around. It has 12 months MOT and drives beautifully with slick gear changes, responsive acceleration, excellent brakes and great handling with Audi's fantastic Quattro 4 wheel drive system.
It has a tilt and slide sunroof, 4 x electric windows, extended leather interior, Recaro all electric leather seats, front and rear heated seats (very rare), memory seats with 4 position memory settings, Xenon lights, dual climate control, cruise control, electric mirrors, electrically adjustable steering column, tiptronic gears (you can change gears from the steering wheel as well as with the gear stick), dark wood walnut trim, Audi Symphony sound system with CD multichanger and bluetooth connectivity so you can take calls handsfree, ice cold air con, parking sensors all round, 2 keys, arm rests, twin exhausts and an Audi 20" spare alloy wheel in the massive boot, which is easily big enough for 2 sets of golf clubs. The engine bay is beautifully clean and this is the only D2 I have seen in this shade of blue, making it rarer still.
It has recently had over 2,000 spent on it to bring it back into excellent condition, with receipts to prove.
It is HPi clear, is ULEZ compliant and has a ring binder of receipts.
The Audi A8 D2 was made using groundbreaking aluminium construction so it does not rust. It was a real driver's car that improved the image of sporty, large saloon cars.
From the way it drives and handles, it is obvious this car has been well maintained and cared for. The build quality of the D2 generation is much better than some of the newer generation models.
