1955 Ford Popular 103e - Two owners from new, with Just 50500 miles.
The car has been garaged for most of its life, and has lived permanently in a garage since purchased by the current owner in 1978. It underwent light restoration work between 1979 and 1990. This included new carpets, headlining, reconditioning of dynamo, brakes, seats. It has had a very recent replacement battery, fuel pump, starter motor and 4 new Excelsior tyres (150 each). The work to restore the car to present condition took a number of years.
The car is in excellent condition for a 70 year old car. The car has covered around 5,000 in our ownership and we will be sad to see it go.
The car was registered on the 1 March 1955.
Registered as a historic vehicle it is now has Tax & MOT exemption.

Produced from 1953 the Ford Popular 103e was developed as an alternative and was based on the E494A Anglia. It is powered by a Ford Sidevalve 1172 cc, 30 bhp (22 kW),[4] four-cylinder engine.
The car is has a single vacuum-powered wiper, pop up indicators, metal dash, vinyl trim and ventilation flaps.
