Description

Here we have my well cared for 2005 Mini Cooper S JCW in grey metallic with black roof - in my opinion the best colour combination for this car. I've had it for a few years now and it's been very well cared for, going to Stephen James BMW dealership for all servicing. The gear changes still feel nice and tight, and overall, drives very nicely. Additions: a JCW carbon / leather gear knob, BMW Z4 stubby aerial - the original mini item is kept in the boot and a Scorpion exhaust. This doesn't generate much more noise than the JCW exhaust but the pops in particular are slightly louder (but not annoying like you get with mapped Fiestas these days). I have kept the car on run-flats as I don't want to be left stranded if I get a flat. These are Continentals. Personally, I don't have a problem with run flats and the noise they generate whilst driving. There is no JCW certificate, but it's a genuine car as can be proven by any Mini dealer, the VZAR printout I have, and the V5 which also shows JCW on it. The certificate can be requested from any BMW dealers if you absolutely must have one. There are a couple of minor issues: 1. the mini badge on the steering wheel is chipped. The 'dealer's' way to replace this is to replace the whole centre unit which includes the airbag, but these are not available from BMW any more. Replacement badges can be purchased online - I think I have one somewhere in the house and will try to find it, but cannot consider it part of the sale. 2. The driver's seat height adjuster is faulty. A mini specialist might be able to fix this. I also have a set of R90 split rim alloys which will need refurbishing. These can be added for a further 400 pounds.
