Description

I bought this car in July 2025 with the intention of getting a tow bar fitted so we could use it for pulling a caravan, but since then my partner has bought a new car with a tow bar and therefore this is surplus to requirement. The car has over 12 months warranty outstanding from the garage I purchased it from, which I believe is transferrable. It has also has the timing chain replaced and. It has previous Land Rover service history - there has been a break which was to do with Covid due to an elderly couple owning the vehicle before myself. The latest service was In July 2025. There is a full spare wheel in the boot. Unfortunately, there is only 1 key. The Land Rover Freelander 2 Metropolis of 2014 is a high-specification, special edition compact SUV that served as the final and most luxurious iteration of the model line before its replacement by the Discovery Sport. Key Features Engine & Performance: The Metropolis edition was exclusively available with the powerful 2.2-litre SD4 turbocharged diesel engine paired with a 6-speed automatic Command Shift transmission and full-time intelligent four-wheel drive . This engine produced 187 bhp and a substantial 420 Nm of torque, allowing for strong acceleration and a 2,000kg towing capacity. Luxurious Interior: The cabin featured premium Windsor leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats with driver memory function, and a heated steering wheel. It included luxury touches like deep pile carpets, a lacquered Piano Black interior finish, and a high-end 825-watt Meridian surround-sound audio system with DAB radio and USB connectivity. Technology and Amenities: Standard technology included a 7-inch touchscreen navigation system with voice activation and a rear-view camera with 'Hitch Assist' for easier towing. Other amenities comprised a panoramic electric sliding front glass sunroof, heated front seats, a heated windscreen, automatic climate control, and a keyless push-button start system. Exterior Design: The exterior was distinguished by unique 19-inch 'diamond-cut' alloy wheels, Xenon headlamps with LED signature daytime running lights, front and rear parking sensors, and power-folding exterior mirrors with puddle lights. Off-Road Capability: As a Land Rover, it retained significant off-road ability, featuring the brand's well-regarded Terrain Response system (with modes for general driving, grass/gravel/snow, mud/ruts, and sand), Hill Descent Control, and good ground clearance.
