An unusual, upgraded example of a TD5 with rear and side windows and folding back seats. 2006 Owned this Hague Blue Land Rover Defender 110 for 9 years, during which time we've spent thousands on it, and there's a substantial folder of invoices from a trusted local garage showing consistent care and major mechanical work. Recent work includes new clutch assembly and dual-mass flywheel, replacement rear differential, new alternator, starter motor, Bosch battery, new brake callipers and pads, rear hub and stub axle, gearbox and transfer box oil change, rear axle oil, and a door latch and catch. It's also had a new reverse light, side steps, and grille, plus regular servicing and MOTs with attention to oils, filters and brake hydraulics. The invoices show many major components renewed over the past few years, keeping it in strong mechanical order. The speedometer is not currently working, and chassis corrosion not affecting overall stability or integrity was noted at last MOT, hence price. Always starts first time, drives beautifully, with a quiet engine, very easy reverse gear, lovely smooth gears, excellent suspension. No significant rust on the bodywork and all the doors are very solid, just the usual small scratches and dents for its age. The chassis has had a small amount of welding but the most recent MOT passed it as solid. I added rear side windows (you can see the earlier photos before that was done), fitted decent speakers and two leatherette side benches in the back. A smooth, clean, easy drive and genuinely reliable Defender that's ready to be enjoyed.
