Description
Three years ago a couple of retired friends decided it was time to buy their first sports car - to share. We bought Charlotte. An oldie but a goodie, whose engine had been the COVID project of a retired aircraft engineer. We've had sssooo much fun but we're ready to upgrade to a newer push button roof model so we have to say a reluctant goodbye to Charlotte.
We have a boxfile of official docs, info, receipts etc - a Full Service History
We just drive -she's still overseen by our friendly aircraft engineer and Turin Motors.
Her last MOT was June 25 with minimal works but usual age related advisories on coil springs and tyres
Mechanically sound, initially we had issues with the alarm draining the battery so we had the alarm removed and bought a new battery (and a battery charger just in case!). The radio was rewired and the airbag loom repaired at the same time.
At 54804 miles front brake discs and pads were replaced as were the the airflow and lamda sensors
Seemingly the roof mechanism has not functioned for some years but the manual process is very manageable.
There is also some lacquer peeling which we understand is usual at this time of life.
We know that summer is the better time to sell but we were both very busy in summer and now we've made the decision we're keen to start the search for Charlotte's replacement
