Underneath it looked solid and it drove well, so we went for it. It's a post-facelift car wearing a pre-facelift front bumper and headlights either a previous owner's styling choice or an earlier repair. No signs of chassis/crumple-zone issues to our eyes. Highlights Engine/gearbox: Starts first time, idles smoothly, pulls well; selects all gears fine. We did compression tests and all cylinders were good. Tuning bits: Uprated air filter, exhaust and dump valve; likely remapped (feels stronger than stock no printout). Chassis: Coilovers; sits low with no arch rubbing. Brakes: Work but would benefit from discs and pads all round soon. Interior: Factory Recaro half-leather seats in tidy condition. Rear: Twin-exit exhaust; aftermarket boot/strut brace. Body: Rust-free shell; age-related scuffs/scratches. Front end: Not original facelift spec (earlier-style bumper & lights). The honest bits Cosmetics show age; budget if you want it mint. Clutch bite point is a bit high (drives fine). No proof of remap just how it drives. Summary A low-mileage Hot Red VXR that starts, drives and boosts well. A straightforward car.
