Here is for sale my beloved 1990 Mercedes 230ce coupe manual, with only 73k miles on the clock. Powered by the legendary 2.3liter petrol, one of the longest running engine by Mercedes-Benz. It is one of the best examples out there and probably the most unique one. It was my childhood dream back in the late 80's and it became a reality just 5 years ago, well worth the wait. It is the best car I have ever owned and driven and without any doubt the best Mercedes ever made. I am very sad to let it go as I am moving abroad, and I know I will never find another one like this. Always garaged and never driven on wet or winter days. Only two very caring previous owners. It is in exceptional conditions in and out, no rust or leaks, the interior is just like new, everything is original including the first aid kit from the factory. The car was specially ordered in Germany by an army Major while stationed there, it features a mixture of European and American spec including Sun Tan Leather Interior, Grey/Black Metallic colour, Headlight Wipers and Electric Sunroof, they were never fitted on standard manual versions. The car was first registered in Germany and owned by the Major, then was brought over to UK, he owned the car from new for 27 years, and then it was kept in the same family. It has full Mercedes service history, and an impressive documented paperwork, was also registered to the official Mercedes Club. Everything works as it should, mechanically it is in excellent conditions, it was always serviced and maintained by official Mercedes specialists, always using original parts, lots of stamps and invoices to prove. Works done under my 5 years ownership are as follow: 2 New Headlight Wiper Motors, New fuel filter, New Bosch fuel pump, New v belt, New Thermostat and Thermostat Housing, New BEHR Radiator, New Febi Steering Damper, Diff oil and Gearbox oil changed also. Last year the car had a complete Head Overhaul, Cylinder head striped down, New valve Guides and Seals fitted, New Head Gasket, Sundries, Head set, Head bolts, all original parts from Germany, work carried out by a Mercedes specialist, with a cost of over 1600.00 invoice present. There was nothing wrong with the engine, I am just a simply crazy perfectionist, and the car now drives even better and can keep up with the modern hectic traffic. Soon this car will be a classic and the value will just go up. No timewasters please.
