Description

Im very reluctantly selling my Landrover defender... We have had many adventures together but the time has come to let it move on as its sat on the drive and only gets 1-2 trips a year at most ! It has been a working project over the years and ive spent around 10k since ive had it, ive had it refurbished and professionally resprayed in santorini black which looks great on this car. Ive had a reconditioned Td5 engine (50k miles) fitted along with new professionally reconditioned gear box, transfer box and new clutch installed, so all the running gear is like new and drives great and gives good MPG for a 23 year old car thats done 200k miles but don't let the mileage put you off as nearly everything has been upgraded and renewed on this car the underside and chassis is solid. Ive taken it over Europe and the Alps several times and its been solid and comfortable drive, ive installed electric heated leather seats from a land rover discovery 3 and it has 7 seats and ive spaced the seating for maximum legroom front and rear, slightly higher driving position, ive had it professionally lifted by 2 inches all round with new shocks and gives a comfortable ride and doesn't wallow into corners. The 2 inch lift was needed to fit the challenger 5 spoke wheels but I think looks much better with the lift, its also had full LED light conversion, upgraded grill, wide arch kit and new side steps. Its fitted with an aluminium hannibal roof rack with rear ladders, which is great if your packing for long trips. Inside It's fitted with momo smaller steering wheel which makes handling much easier, pioneer surround sound system with sub woofer, twin battery conversion with 240v inverter in the rear, it also has a small diesel heater in the back if your doing cold weather trips is really useful. There's lots of small jobs I still havnt got round to doing in the interior and there are a few small rust spots that need a bit of attention, if I get time to do it in the next week or so I will. Bad points - the central locking doesn't always lock the drivers door but I will try and fix this week, there are a couple of small rust spots again I will try and fix these up if I get time and give it a full valet but apart from that its ready to go on more adventures, I have never off roaded it only a few green lanes but its more than capable and the diff lock and transfer box works perfect. Please no time wasters, I don't have the time, if your serious I can arrange viewing most days
