I am reluctantly parting with my Father-in-law's pride and joy. It has been in the family from new and was immaculate until it picked up a few scuffs when it became Mother-in-law's car which may also explain why it needed a new clutch after she stopped driving it. Since then it has seen a few miles each year as 'family pool car' when grown-up children had car problems but they've all got better cars than me now. It needed a bit of welding at 30k miles but is in a very clean condition inside and out. At 36k miles the engine is smooth and responsive and the car feels much younger than the number plate would suggest. It dates from the era before cars kept you in lane, told you when to change gear and warned you about reversing into a post. In short it is a great driver's car that does what you tell it as Fords of that era did. It had two new tyres to get through the MOT a couple of weeks ago. It was professionally cleaned and Waxoyled in 2018. Not sure the Aircon is working properly but may just need re-gas. It's all ready to go and has MOT until the end of October 26!
