Description

This BMW i3 has been the perfect car for my lifestyle. The boot comfortably fits my paddleboard, and with the rear seats down I can carry three full-size bikes (with front wheels removed). It has only needed routine maintenance tyres and original brake replacement at around 50,000 miles and has been completely reliable throughout my ownership. The car is genuinely fun to drive, with great acceleration, and the full leather interior is both stylish and easy to keep clean. Headlights are excellent on rural roads, and the tight turning circle makes city driving very easy. The BMW app is extremely useful I especially enjoy pre-heating the car on winter mornings. I've owned the car for over 2 years and added 20,000 miles. It has mainly been charged overnight on a standard 3-pin charger to around 85%. Using Octopus' night tariff, running costs have been incredibly low roughly 250 pounds total electricity cost across 2 years. Battery health is very strong: original usable capacity is 37.9 kWh, and the car currently shows 35.8 kWh, meaning around 95% battery health after 60,000 miles and 6 years. The rear coach doors take a little getting used to, but they're practical in many situations and always get positive comments. I'm only selling because my new job requires much longer travel, and I'm upgrading to a BMW i4. Real-world motorway efficiency (typical driving at 65-70 mph): Normally between 3.7 and 5.0 miles/kWh Typical range per 60% battery: 90-110 miles Example: 103 miles used 60% at 4.5 mi/kWh (in light rain at 15C) This has been a fantastic car to own efficient, reliable, and enjoyable and I'll be sad to see it go.
