Description

This is my Peugeot 107 affectionately known as the Sh*tbox. I bought her as I desperately needed a car for work and now I no longer require her services. She's a great workhorse, owned her for about 18 months and she has never skipped a beat. She's a bit rough around the edges and doesn't look the cleanest, but she's dependable and reliable. Here are the good bits: - Long 8 month MOT - Two keys (one remote locking and one basic key) - EVERYTHING fitted to the car works; heating, stereo, electric windows, heated rear windscreen, central locking all work - All tyres have decent tread - The Daihatsu engines they put in these little city bugs are BULLETPROOF. I've never had a mechanical problem with her - I found 20p in the centre console whilst cleaning her and I'll chuck it in for free - I carried out a proper service on her last year; New oil, filters, spark plugs and belt. She's done about 5,000 miles since - I also fitted a new water pump last year as a preventative measure. They are known to sometimes go on these cars (Peugeot 107, Toyota Aygo, Citroen C1) so I did it out of precaution. - I also fitted a new exhaust manifold and catalytic converter last year. The original one was blowing badly and probably would have failed emissions - The interior is in pretty decent shape. The headlining is not sagging and the seats haven't got any holes or rips in them Ok on to the 'not so good' bits: - She's YELLOW. And not just one shade of yellow, I can count at least 5 different shades of yellow. - The bodywork is in rough shape, look at the photos and you will see scratches, dents, peeling lacquer all over her. On the bright side, you won't care if someone opens their car door on it and scratches your bodywork. Also, the rate at which the lacquer is peeling means it will get to a point where eventually it won't be peeling any more. NICE - The underbody has some surface rust, I've had to repair a hole on both sills but it's solid and was rust protected properly - The exhaust back box is blowing. I did bodge repair it with some exhaust putty but she keeps spitting it out like a two year old with a dummy. She'll eventually need a new back box but they're about 60 quid on eBay. It's only an MOT advisory for now All in, you can't get much more value for money if you're looking for a car. She's cheap to insure, really good on fuel, and only 20 quid a year to tax. If you just need A CAR, ANY CAR, then this is the one for you. Sold as seen!
