1991 Mazda MX5 Mk1 (NA) 1. 6 Eunos in Marina Blue. This car was imported from Japan in 2003, before being rebuilt in the end of 2023 by Goodwood Sports cars with all the rust cut out and it fully under sealed after a partial respray. It has had a new Mohair roof fitted as part of the rebuild too. It has a cold air intake along with a genuine Mazda engine brace fitted also. In my ownership, it has received new clutch master cylinder along with a new brake master cylinder. It has a braided clutch line fitted also. The car has also been fitted with drilled and slotted brake discs and EBC greenstuff brake pads. It has a stainless steel intake grill fitted along with a rear spoiler. The headlights have been upgraded to Halogen H4s. The soft top is from a later Mk2 in black mohair with glass window and is in good condition and it also has a Mk2 windblocker fitted. Its sitting on a set of MX5 Mk2 15" alloys fitted with slightly wider 205 tyres, with 2 new rear tyres fitted in recent weeks. This uses the so-called 'Long Nose Crank' version of the 1. 6 engine and feels as strong as anything. It starts instantly and runs nicely, pulls strongly in all gears and holds it temperature perfectly in all conditions. The boot is smart and tidy and it has its original jack, wheel brace and space saver spare wheel. Its fitted with the correct battery and this is clamped down properly. Alot of these bits are now MIA from a older MX5's. This is possibly the best example of a NA MX5 in the UK. The car has wanted for nothing in my ownership although after 34 years it does have some wear in places (drivers seat has a small tear to the cloth, small scratches to paint in places etc) but nothing that detracts from the pure fun and drivability of this car. This is the car I thought I would never sell but personal circumstances (namely my impending wedding) are now forcing my hand.
