Spares or repair. Excellent runner, has been a great car for our use, with tons of space, comfortable ride, excellent fuel economy... we were regularly seeing 55mpg on a run. Plenty of power, lots of legroom front and back, huge boot with the seats down. Fairly new screen as replaced previous MOT, DPF clean done last year and exhaust sensor changed. All in all it's been a great car but very shortly after this years MOT (and Tax.. of course!) it flashed up a gearbox fault. This is a typical gearbox electronic fault that needs a control unit refurb or replacement. A fairly simple job for someone in the trade or a good home mechanic. Our use for the car had changed just around MOT time so we decided not to proceed and sell it on cheaply. It still drives, and the gearbox does not sound damaged at all, but gear selection does sound "slightly different" which is consistent with the diagnosis on the gearbox control unit as advised by our garage. Bodywork is pretty decent for the age all over, with a couple of minor scuffs here and there, and a tiny 10p sized dent on one rear wheelarch. This could still be a great car for someone who wants to repair(and very cheap) or an excellent source of spares.
