Description
First thing to say is that we need to hold on to the car until the 4th December at the earliest. We are doing the same for a couple from whom we are buying a replacement car from. This is because they are moving abroad and need their car until they leave.* So a local buyer may be best.
For sale is our Honda CRV. It's been a family workhorse for the last 10 years, offering Honda reliability and so much space and flexibility for holidays and general family life. The handling is much better than others in the class/age. It's no spring chicken, but being a honda it should continue to serve a new owner for some time yet. We are selling due to personal health issues that now require that we have an automatic car.
There are various minor issues to mention so you have no surprises. First of which is that the front electric windows are both a bit sticky and need looking at, previously mentioned health issues prevent me from having a look at this, which is annoying. The headlamp washer nodule was knocked off recently. I think they are ~10 pounds. About 2-3 years ago thieves came through the village and cut Catalytic converters off all the similar era CRVs (easy to climb under without lifting the car). So this was replaced, but was an aftermarket brand, not Honda original equipment as the cost was extraordinary. Our son had his first go with a jet washer on the car, and blasted some paint off the rear bumper. In fairness, he did a neat job - as pressure washer fails go, with I nice circular patch of black plastic showing. Our other son tapped the tailgate with a cricket bat, and left a little dent. There are various small marks here and there, but really it still looks pretty smart. I don't think we have ever tried to refill the aircon. But I can't be sure of that as I just don't remember. Will need tyres this year.
It really is a cracking vehicle. The temporary 4wd made getting to work in snow easy a few years back. The back seats slide to increase passenger or boot space. The boot floor is a handy camping table. The Vtec has plenty of torque for overtaking etc.
We have a whole folder of history for you to look at. Our kids are gutted we are selling it as they love it! Priced keenly for quick sale.
