A genuine UK supplied Mercedes 350SL in fabulous condition, regardless of its age. It also has arguably the best Mercedes colour combination of Silver with Blue leather that looks fantastic, especially with the addition of the metallic blue hard-top. This is one of the better examples that we have been offered, and the areas that usually plague SL’s have been checked out. This car appears to us to be exceptional. The bulkhead is in great order, and I can see from its history that this was replaced. The sills on this car are also impressive feeling, solid and free from damage or defects. Therefore, the common risks and concerns are all sorted. Now the bodywork and paint. I’ve seen examples 10 years newer that I wouldn’t touch, but this is very nice indeed and one that we were pleased to own. Only under serious scrutiny could you find minor imperfections with this car, and they are not likely to be of concern. There are plenty of historic invoices from back in the day, including some from the SL Shop. Whilst there is some evidence of servicing, this car has covered very few miles in the last 15 years, and has had a clean MOT nearly every year up till 2022. Of course now it is exempt from this, road tax and ULEZ compliant, being registered as Historic. Insurance will also be very low cost. The 350 is in a different class when compared to the 280. It’s a different feeling altogether, adding torque and power that is required for this heavy vehicle. We are offering this pretty example at a very reasonable price, considering the time of year.
