Description

Age and Diet have caught up with me, so I'm looking to sell and move to an SV model. The car is a Yr 2000 Caterham Roadsport fitted with the VVC Rover K series engine giving 150 bhp and 4.9 sec to 60 mph. It also has the desirable 6 speed box. It has had just one previous owner to me; I bought it off the original owner over 10 years ago and have completed most its 51 000 miles on touring and day trips. I don't do trackdays. The car was bought as a complete kit from Caterham and built by the first owner, who also had the car serviced by Caterham Cars. I have undertaken all servicing myself to the Caterham schedule. The car comes with a huge service paperwork archive, and all MoTs (4 lever of paperwork in total) plus servicing books/handbooks and photos of the original build. The car was ordered with every available extra. The key specs are: Painted in Ferrari metallic dark blue, with polished alloy windcreen, stantions and headlamps. 1.8 VVC engine, complete with Apollo tank, and mechanical oil pressure gauge. 6 Speed Box De dion, with LSD fitted Lowered drivers side floor (essential if over 5ft 10in) Uprated aluminium RADTEC radiator, uprated silicon hoses and PRT fitted. Nitron Street series dampers on adjustable platforms and widetrack front suspension Leather S-type seats (with standard 3 point road belts) FIA Rollbar Minilite 13 inch wheels with good Uniroyal Rainsport tyres. Detachable rear wheel carrier (normally run without the spare) Powerspeed polished exhaust The car comes with a detachable spare wheel carrier and spare wheel Full weathergear (hood plus sidescreens with armrests). The car is in very good condition, but bear in mind it is now 25 years old. I regularly clean and wax the underside each year, plus a detailed polish, so the underside is as clean as the rest of the car. However, if I was keeping it, there are a few jobs I would now be doing which I list here: Replace/repair the rear drivers side wheelarch, which has a crack in it. Replace the front two cycle wings which are now showing their obvious age. A minor leak from the speedo drive which needs a new fibre washer. I welcome genuine enquiries. Please contact me for a more thorough and detailed chat, as well has many more photos. (I'm sure I've forgottern some details) I'm located near the old Severn Bridge if you want to come and have a look. I have a lift in the garage, so you can have a good look and marvel at how clean it is underneath...
