This Subaru Impreza P1 is a rare and desirable modern classic Japanese rally-derived performance hero, offered from long-term ownership. Under the bonnet sits a remapped turbocharged 2.0-litre 'EJ20' flat-four, which sends its power to all four wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. This original UK-market example was first registered in May 2000 and has been with the seller since April 2007. This Impreza P1 is number 298 of just 1,000 examples produced. The odometer shows 40,626 miles, which the seller believes to be genuine. Just 1,000 Impreza P1 were produced, all of which were finished in Sonic Blue, developed by Prodrive, based on the JDM STI Type-R body shell, and with Peter Stevens-designed body styling. As standard, all P1 are equipped with uprated coil springs, shock absorbers and anti-roll bars, alongside a set of OZ Racing wheels and a large rear wing. Inside, the cabin features black cloth and grey synthetic suede upholstery with contrasting red stitching, blue cloth front seat accents, embroidered 'Prodrive' logos on the front seat backs, and gunmetal-effect trim. It rides on a set of 17-inch O.Z Racing multi-spoke alloy wheels finished in dark silver, framing AP Racing front brake callipers, and fitted with Toyo Proxes TR1 tyres. Equipment includes 90mm Hella driving lamps, a rear screen wiper, a Momo steering wheel, Recaro front seats, Prodrive floor mats, air conditioning, a quick-shift gear linkage, and electrically operated windows and door mirrors. This example has been enhanced with a remap by Andy Forrest, a set of six-piston AP Racing front brake callipers, an Alpine stereo, an Apexi Actuator Valve Controller Type-R, and an aftermarket air intake. The car comes with two keys, a space-saver spare wheel, the V5C, the stamped service booklet, the owner's manuals in a black leatherette wallet, a Prodrive 30th anniversary notebook, an RAC Trackstar installation certificate, and a selection of maintenance invoices.
