Description

For sale is my 2016 GT86 Aero edition in Pure Red. I am the second owner, having bought the car in April 2019 at 13,000miles and kept it through to its current mileage. The car has a full Toyota main dealer service history meaning it is still covered under Toyota's Manufacturer warranty. The car is entirely stock with no modifications, but a good specification from factory of alcantara seats with red accents; rear parking sensors; and the 18" Toyota wheels specific to the later Aero editions. Included in the listed price is a second set of wheels I have used for winter duties: Ray's Gram Light-style wheels with Goodyear Vector 4 seasons, all with ample tread and no buckles. The car is overall in good condition: mechanically it is solid, and everything works as good as new and has been well cared for. Here's a quick run-down of recent consumables replaced: - 30/9/25 63,985miles, major service, front discs and pads replaced - Sep '25 New rear tyres (Michelin Pilot Sport 4) - July '25 New battery - Feb '24 New rear discs and pads - May '23 New front tyres (Michelin Pilot Sport 4) The bodywork is in good condition having just had a full machine polish, and the wheels were refurbished in '24. However, there are some blemishes commensurate with the age and mileage of the car: the front bumper has some small stone chips, and there is a small area of corrosion on the driver's door window-frame (a common fault across many GT86s). The interior is in good condition with no damage to the seats or fabrics, and it has never encountered any smoke/vape/pet smells. Again, there are some age-related marks as you would expect: the driver's seat bolster shows some creasing in the fabric, but the underlying foam and structure is still very good. There is also a small scuff on the silver of the steering wheel lower spoke. I will be sad to see the car go, as my years of ownership have been a joy. It is a truly engaging, rewarding car to drive, and manages to be every bit a sportscar on a good B-road without being a headache for daily commuting duties. Then it comes to service time, and it has the consumable costs and reliability of a 200hp Toyota. The Aero edition also has the presence of much more serious stuff; seeing pedestrians do a double take, or young kids gawping at it never gets old. For me it has been an excellent car, but after 6 years I'm ready to move on and try something different, meaning it's time for the GT86 to find a new owner.
