The Fiesta ST has always been one of those cars that proves you don't need huge numbers to have a genuinely great time. The ST Performance Edition takes that idea and turns the volume up just enough - more focused, more special, but still absolutely usable day-to-day. Limited to 600 cars in total, with just 300 finished in Azura Blue, it's a proper fast Ford in the old tradition: rare, purposeful and already quietly coveted. It's that classic "fast Ford" shade - rich, clean and instantly recognisable without being shouty. On the ST Performance Edition, it sits over a set of 18-inch Ford Performance flow-formed alloys, not just there for show but saving around 7kg of unsprung mass across the car. The stance is spot on too, thanks to the Ford Performance adjustable coilover suspension: stainless-steel damper bodies, blue powder-coated springs, and a ride height dropped by 15mm at the front and 10mm at the rear. Out of the box it's perfectly judged, but for those who like to fettle, there are 12 bump and 16 rebound settings to play with. Under the bonnet sits the familiar 1.5-litre EcoBoost three-cylinder, making around 200PS and driving the front wheels through a six-speed manual. With the Performance Pack hardware baked in - including the Quaife limited-slip differential, launch control and shift light - it's one of those cars that just begs to be driven properly, yet never feels unusable on a wet Tuesday in town. Inside, this particular car is very nicely done. The Bang & Olufsen sound system lifts the cabin above the usual supermini fare - 10-speaker surround set-up and proper clarity rather than just volume. You get heated front seats and heated steering wheel, cruise control, reversing camera, and Apple CarPlay neatly integrated into Ford's Sync system. It's all very usable, very straightforward, and makes the ST as happy doing a long slog on the M4 as it is attacking a back road. Provenance is exactly what you'd hope for. It's a one-owner car from new, serviced solely by TrustFord Alperton on schedule, and clearly looked after by someone who understood what they had. For a limited-run, Ford Performance-developed car, that kind of history matters - especially as these special Fiestas are already starting to be viewed less as "used hot hatches" and more as the last of a breed.
