Description
They don’t come better than this and you will not find another one.
Jaguar combustion engine vehicles are now obsolete and unavailable in the UK. That’s why this car is so special, and possibly the last and best in existence. It has never been registered having been part of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) collection, has only 300 miles and presents as a new car regarding condition. We have it on good authority that this car was retained by Jaguar Engineering so that they had access to a production model that allowed them to assist with any dealer questions. Due to this car being the extremely rare manual gearbox version, it had an extended stay in the collection whilst others found their way into the dealer network.
Imagine for a moment owning a 35 year old classic car that is actually brand new. If you restored a typical XJS (and people are) to this level, then be prepared to hand over in excess of £100,000, and truthfully it will never be anywhere near the factory quality of this vehicle. You will only need to look at prices of top end resto-mod's including such brands as Fiats, Alfa’s and Porsche and you’ll realise why I went out of my way to purchase this exceptional car. I was not alone, as others had the same thoughts as me. JDHT recently decided to dispose of some of their vehicles and this example being the oldest stock car was released, leaving only 2 more XJS examples in the collection. We have been told that one prior automatic example sold at auction for £120,000, making our example a last opportunity to purchase and at a seemingly sensible price.
With a 20-year production run, this late release benefitted from significant evolution of R&D and investment from it's then new owners, Ford Motor Co. It also benefitted from some stylish body and interior improvements, found in the later 1995 Celebration model. The six-cylinder 4.0L engine released in 1993 was the finest of all their past engines, and gained an exemplary reputation for quality and reliability.
This vehicle is unique and in the limited colour of black, with Nimbus grey leather. The rare manual gearbox makes this is a very special piece of motoring history. A most beautiful car roof up or roof down, this will provide years of star quality exclusive motoring, or alternatively sit well in another collection of British motoring heritage, whilst it's value appreciates.
Supplied registered or alternatively unregistered with a full service and quality check. A 12-month warranty with roadside assistance from Autoguard is included. Finance can be provided by our independent broker upon request.
This vehicle will be registered on an age-related plate.
