Description

Description: Reluctantly selling my NC Sport due to a change in priorities (new baby). I simply can't justify the garage space or the upkeep for how little I'm driving it now. This is a genuine, ultra-low mileage example (27,700 miles) that has been treated as a mechanical pride and joy rather than a daily commuter. It has been kept in a dry garage for the last 3 years and only driven in fair weather. The Mechanicals & Maintenance: The car runs perfectly and drives like it's barely broken in. I have prioritised mechanical reliability over cosmetics: Engine: 2.0L 160bhp. Starts and runs faultlessly. Maintenance: Engine oil changed annually during my ownership regardless of mileage (often doing less than 1,000 miles a year). Coolant Tank Upgrade: Fitted with the DaveFab aluminium expansion tank. (If you know these cars, you know the stock plastic tanks are a ticking time bomb, this is sorted). Gearbox: 6-Speed manual. Gearbox oil changed at 25k miles (2 years ago). Underbody: Underseal applied 2 years ago (at 25k miles) to protect the chassis. Tyres & Suspension: Sitting on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 tyres and tastefully lowered springs. Handling is tight and direct, exactly as an MX-5 should be. History: Part Service History the only gaps are from years where the car was SORN and stored off the road. The Spec (2.0 Sport): Limited Slip Differential (LSD) Bilstein Suspension Bose Sound System Heated Leather Seats 6-Speed Gearbox The Honest Negatives: I want to be totally transparent so I don't waste your time or mine. The car is mechanically A1, but the cosmetics show its age in places: Wheels: The original 17" alloys have the typical NC corrosion. They are structurally fine but would benefit from a refurb/respray to make them perfect. Bodywork: There is a small scuff on the rear bumper (see photo) and a minor paint flaw on the wing mirror. Glass: Small stone chip on the windscreen (not an MOT failure). Summary: This is a rare opportunity to grab a sub-30k mile NC with the critical reliability mods (DaveFab tank, underseal) already done. It needs a little cosmetic love on the wheels, but underneath, it is a solid, honest car that is ready to be driven. Viewings welcome. Open to sensible offers.
