A low-mileage, low-owner and well-optioned Mini Cooper Convertible with Mini Service History. First registered on the 29th December 2017 (maybe as a Mini demo car?), purchased by its last owner in the summer of 2018 until I acquired the car earlier this year. The previous owner had the car for 7 years and obviously looked after and regularly serviced this car. The inside is immaculate, the outside just showing the minor chips that you would expect for a car of this age and mileage. Towards the end of last year the engine was damaged by water and this resulted in the engine hydro-locking. There was zero damage to any other part of the car, the damage was only to the engine. The owner claimed for the engine damage against the insurance. I bought the car earlier this year and replaced the engine with a 2017 F57 engine of similar mileage, and also fitted a new Dual Mass Flywheel and Clutch. Other work included new filters, coolant , engine and transmission oil etc. The air conditioning was serviced by a specialist. I have photographic evidence of the car before and during the work. Look how clean the engine bay is compared to others. It passed it MOT first time with no advisories. Since completing this work I have enjoyed driving the car during the summer and autumn and it has run faultlessly. I have driven approximately 2,500 miles in that time and it has been perfect. Serviced by Mini, the last service was conducted in November 2022 and would have taken this car to its next scheduled service in November 2024. However, due to the engine damage this service was delayed until I serviced the car as part of the engine replacement this year. As well as servicing the vehicle I have also given it a scheduled brake fluid change. Why selling? I fixed this car for me, not for profit. But I have enjoyed this project so much I want to do another one, hence the sale.
