Sadly parting with my Vauxhall Corsa B 1.6 16v Sport. This is a genuine Sport with electric windows, electric heated mirrors, power steering, central locking and even an optional sunroof. It is not only the more desirable 1.6 (vs 1.4), but is also finished from new in the rare colour of Glacier White. Rarer still for a Corsa B/Sport is that this car is completely factory - not a single modification, even recently fitted with a reproduction of its original Vauxhall dealer numberplate. - At 85,000 miles the car had an extensive photographed engine rebuild, including the block rebored, new pistons, new piston rings, rods and crank balanced, crank reground, new small & bigend bearings, new oil pump, new big & small end stretch bolts, skimmed head, valves reground, new valve stem seals, new cams & cam lifters, new full gasket set top & bottom end, new stretch head bolts and new EGR valve. A gearbox service was carried out and a new clutch kit was fitted, additional to which all suspension bushings were renewed. - In the last year and 500 miles the car has had further spending, including four new Uniroyal Rain Expert tyres, a new Yuasa battery, Mintex disks and pads, spark plugs, air, fuel, oil & pollen filters, oil change, replacement exhaust, new catalytic converter, new lambda sensors and new track rod end. - In the past 6 or so months it has had a wheel alignment, new INA timing belt kit and INA water pump fitted by a specialist, a coat ofBuzzWeld lanolin oil underseal, new gear stick and handbrake gators, new floor mats, new wheel arch trims, and a 2 stage machine polish & ceramic coating. - Due to all the recent work listed above I have no worries about the usability and reliability of my Corsa. It is a really sharp rust-free example, though being almost 30 years old, there are some imperfections in the paint work. It goes extremely well, stops more sharply than you'd expect, and overall simply drives superbly. The interior is equally extremely clean and free of any obvious wear. This Corsa also does not leak when it rains unlike many sunroof cars of its era. This is an extremely original Corsa B Sport - the previous owner is a friend of mine, while myself and the previous two owners are enthusiasts who have used the car sparingly.
