Description
What a fantastic car! We bought this Shogun in 2020 (just before Covid) for my wife and it has been all over the country for nearly 6 years with no issues whatsoever. Comfort, luxury and space, especially with the 7-seats. We have done 100k miles since we bought it. Mostly motorway and country road miles. It's never broken down ... only needed servicing and MOTs with normal service items (brakes, tyres, etc).
It has a full leather interior with wood trim, the Air Conditioning is ice cold. Last year, there was an issue with the A/C compressor leaking, so we replaced the compressor last year and had it pressure tested and re-gassed. No issues since.
All three drive belts were replaced 6 months ago. The 4X4 system works well and all low and high ratios and diff-lock can be selected, without issue. The transfer box is perfect too, with no whining or noises. Alloy wheels in good condition. It has been well maintained and has a folder full of paperwork. Both rear springs were replaced 2 years ago. Brake discs were new a year ago. The MOT is only 10 months old. It failed on worn tyres ... it now has 4 brand new tyres fitted and tracking adjusted. It was serviced at the same time, so all set for another year of faultless ownership.
This is the facelift model with newer 197bhp engine and more fuel economy (updated mid-2011). We are reluctant to sell this Shogun, as it has been well loved and is such a great car. We are only selling it due to a family member selling us a newer one for a price we couldn't resist. It has a tow bar and electrics. We have towed a trailer which has been great for tip runs and timer merchants, but it's never pulled anything heavy. The 5-speed Auto gearbox is super-smooth and changes as expected. We even get 32MPG on normal use, and 37MPG on a long run which is really good for a heavy car.
The bodywork has a few scratches here and there and a crack in the rear bumper, as you can see in the photos. The car is fully HPI clear, with no finance marker, no accidents, etc. I have the report.
Considering it's done 173k miles, it drives like new and starts first time every time whether hot or cold, no noises, runs smoothly and you really cannot fault it. No knocks or rattles over bumps, etc. All the electrics work as expected. These Shoguns really were built to last (I've seen them with 300k+ miles and still going strong). The brakes were new last year. You are welcome to view and test drive the car.
We are in Malvern, Worcestershire.
