Description
Been a great car but have run out of time, money and patience to keep working on it. It's the 225bhp BAM model, with Quattro. Been working on it but still unfinished so have a few parts to hand over with it, being refurbished steering rack (common failure on these), new Audi OEM
Starter motor, had a fairly recent new battery, also had new Audi pads and discs a few years back but only done around 5,000 miles on those. Four Michelin Crossclimate 2 tyres, decent tread left and brilliant in snow or sunshine, new Audi timing belt and water pump and pulley around 5,000 miles ago with new plugs and coils from Audi too. Also the engine rocker cover gasket was replaced around 5,000 miles ago (last major service), with Audi OEM gasket, and N75 valve replaced. Has had a few aftermarket changes, but easily resolved if prefer OEM, being Bager air intake (but kept original Audi airbox), Forge coolant pipes and upgraded aluminium joints (plastic ones are a common failure), new thermostat and coolant from Audi, recent pan clean with new oil pick up pipe and oil filter from Audi. Had a new rear passenger suspension strut from Audi in 2021, also had the rear Haldex oil and filter changed (Audi OEM) along with rear differential oil in 2025. Doors open fine, door switches too, Xenons are new within past few years, not much use either. Interior is average, nothing majorly wrong though. Really bad bits are still quite minor, the radio is disconnected as creates a slow battery drain (not an issue if driving weekly or so), aircon doesn't work, display is pixelated (common), handbrake is weak, will see if time to check this before the sale. The car has also been chipped but it really did need that extra BHP to enjoy it properly. Running around 250bhp. Otherwise all original and has had refurbished alloys with new Audi OEM hub caps (in the last year), and 240 for the set of hubcaps alone. Always run on Shell V-power, recommend this too. It is a money pit and now harder to get parts from Audi, and is a major reason for my sale, but is fun if you can keep it going. Great in all weather conditions too. Happy to take questions!
