2008 BMW X5 M57 3.0d
Full BMW history up to 138k miles, reputable M57 engine.
Mix of bmw specialist and vat registered garages since my ownership from 138k, listed below is everything I have done in the last 13 months. I've not seen another E70 pre lci with as high spec or in as good condition.
- Swirl flap delete
- EGR delete
- ECU Remap
- Rear airbags replaced
- Rear shocks replaced
- Bosch air mass sensor
- Turbo actuator valve replaced
- Vacuum line to inlet manifold replaced
- AGM battery fitted & coded
- New rear wiper
- 2x oil changes in 13 months
- Front lower control arms replaced
- Gearbox service & sump replacement
- Brake fluid bleed and serviced
- High pressure power steering pipe replacement.
- 2x falken front tyres in Jan 2026.
- New front wishbones and bushes throughout rear end.
- Powder coated wheels
Roof rack will not be sold with the car.
The car has many features -Reverse cam, AC, Heated and Cooling seats, Pan/Sunroof, Electric steering rake, Auto dimming rear view and door mirrors, Logic 7 Full surround system, electric seats, bluetooth, LED headlights, full bmw rubber mats and rear load liner, DVD players in each rear seat fully working, PS2 fully working, cruise control, high beam assist, DRL/Angel eyes, autofold mirrors, mirror drops in reverse passenger side to aid parking, car is running around 290hp following remap, now seeing better mpg and great torque. The list goes on.
Bad points
- Sunroof won't open, replaced both motors however it gets stuck halfway so I just leave it closed year round with the blind open so it acts like a pan roof.
- Screenwash reservoir has a slow leak, hasn't bothered me majorly, it lasts around two months.
- chip in windscreen, never bothered to claim for repair
